Pop is Dead
The revolution will now be manipulated (part 2 of 2)
by Parker Thiessen

45s are cheap and easy to find, especially tacky hits from decades past. These records are meant to be spun at 45 rpm, but when they’re played at 33 1/3 speed everything sounds different. Guitars start to chug, vocals deepen, reverb lasts longer and the drums hit harder. You can turn a disco song into funk, make Rod Stewart sound like a giant black dude, and it basically makes everything heavier. Give ‘er a listen, and find some of your own that sound good… I recommend hair metal.
1) Foxy – “You Make Me Hot”
2) Abba – “Man in the Middle”
3) Falco – “Rock Me Amadeus”
4) David Bowie – “Fame”
5) George Michael – “Faith”
